RemakesGood quality down and feather if looked after will last for years; the oldest unit we know of that we remade was believed to be over 80 years old. We reuse your own filling from your existing units after our re-lofting and inspection process. It is then placed into a brand new case. This enables you to, with a clear conscience, know that you are helping the planet by reducing waste and recycling and add a new lease of life to a treasured family heirloom.
Often people bring to us numerous existing duvets that they would like made into one super unit. For standard units (Longitudinal wall and Cassette box) we allow up to two standard units to fill a case.
We use only quality white downproof cambric cases in either tube or cassette box style.

Note: ** Often people bring to us numerous existing duvets that they would like made into one super unit. For normal units (Longitudinal wall and Cassette box) allow one normal unit to fill a case. For Hi Loft duvets allow two normal units. Each Additional unit into a new case $15.00 each.
All Eiderdowns (bed quilts) are made with down proof cambric liners using your fabric choice on the top and bottom of the quilt. Each quilt could be made using two loins on each side of the unit.
The fabric quantity is based on 137cm wide with no pattern match. We can organise to send a swatch of suitable fabrics or you are able to supply your own, a fabric similar in weight to a dupion silk is ideal.
We use only white down proof cambric cases for our pillow range our standard sizes are designed to fit better quality bed linen ( Sheridan, Actil etc). Our premium size pillow is 50cm x 75cm our Euro is 65cm x 65cm. alternatively let us make a pillow to your size requirements.
Many people decide to have pillows remade when they have an excess of quality filling left over from duvet remakes they wish to use up.
Extra Fill When remaking products some new filling is generally required to compensate for the fill that has been lost or rejected through the re-lofting and inspection process. THIS FILL IS SUBJECT TO AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE.
We carry in stock three grades of down and feather with varying proportions in the combination. The higher the down content the softer lighter and warmer the finished product will become:
15% white duck down and 85% small white duck feather (15/85) –generally most eiderdowns come through with this combination.
50% white duck down and 50% small white duck feather (50/50) – an all round fill suitable in most situations.
90% white duck down and 10% small white duck feather (90/10) – the ultimate combination super light yet warm.
In requesting a remake you have the ultimate control in that you can request that “No extra is used”, or “Refill with the closest to what has been used” or “Add extra down content” etc.
